Once again David entertains and provokes with his well developed complex characters and a plot that pulls you in alongside them. Fast paced with unexpected turns both in plot and character this book will keep you reading until the end. I have read all David's books and have never been disappointed - always enthralled. Alicia is not just a war machine any more but a strong woman whose feminine side is emerging enhancing her character tremendously. I always leaned towards Mai (Mai-time) in the past novels but aftr this one I have a new respect and liking for Alicia. Please do read this book. If you have not followed along from the first Matt Drake story go back and read them all. You will not be disappointed but spend many hours of entertainment. Thanks for this David and I look forward to the upcoming continuation of Drake's adventures. There is a heartfelt element to Caribbean Gold but I cannot say further so as not to give anything away. Love Alicia Myles but she's changing and seems to be tired of
herself. Healey seemed anti climactic and I just didn't feel it. Also
add anticlimactic to the treasure. 3 and a half stars.
Alicia and her Gold team fight modern day pirates for gold and glory throughout the Caribbean. A ghost island gives them a final clue and a painful death. As her previous adventures difficult to put down until the end.
Not a fan of his Matt Drake series but this series is ok. Need to read from number 1 to 3 because he jumps back to the other books and some of the people are from the Drake books.
Just when I thought David Leadbeaters books and novels books couldn't get any better he puts out another fantastic read . I really believe Caribbean Gold has to be one of his best ! It has it all, great characters, lots of action and adventure. I highly recommend this novel and know that you won't be disappointed.
It's nice to have a lead character that is female for a change good on David for taking that leap this series of books are quite action packed and incredibly hard to stop reading, looking forward to reading more of your books.
Alicia and the Gold Team search for Henry Morgan's gold. The storytelling weaves you into the book as if you are one of the characters. And Alicia sure has grown up from her first appearances many a Matt Drake book ago. It's been emotional growing up with her. But I am looking forward to more stories with Alicia. I never get tired of her badassary! Great book, Dave!
David Leadbeater has done it again with this third book in the Alicia Myles series. It has all that you have come to expect with Alicia and more, which leads to some very interesting moments. Again this is an exciting book with quite a few ups and downs. Please sit down and enjoy this book, but read it after you have read The Treasures of Saint Germain because it will answer a few questions you might have. If you don't it certainly won't spoil a perfectly great story.
